Focus ST Cranked to 275 HP by OEM-Backed Upgrade Kit
Ford has teamed with Mountune to offer a new performance tuning kit for the Focus ST.

But, for those looking to keep their vehicle long term, the price of admission is hardly more than optioning those nice Recaro seats. This basically means that the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine will be capable of putting down a total of 275 HP (205 kW) and 400 Nm (296 lb-ft) of torque.
If the package is installed at a Ford dealership, it won’t even affect the Focus ST’s three-year/36,000-mile warranty. Included in the upgrade kit is Mountune’s induction kit, a high flow intercooler, an mTune handset, installation hardware and a performance badge.
Developed by Mountune, the MP275 Performance Upgrade is available either with or without a Mountune handheld ECU programmer, and with its components either in silver or black.

The upgrade kit’s ECU tinkers with engine mapping in such a way that it create quicker throttling without sacrificing overall stability. “The 2015 Focus ST MP275 upgrade is the latest addition to Ford Performance’s vast Focus and Fiesta performance catalog that gives enthusiasts the components they need to take their auto to the next level”, said Adam Gair, product manager, Ford Performance. The factory performance kit isn’t exactly cheap at $1,900 each plus installation, but it’s one of the few upgrade options that leave your warranty intact.
