Foo Fighters Rickroll Westboro Baptist Church
Foo Fighters managed to upstage the Westboro Baptist Church’s hateful protests outside the band’s Kansas City concert Friday with a hilarious rickroll.

The prevalent band reacted and “rickrolled” the religious association in individual by packing into the back of a pickup truck and impacting Rick Astley’s 1987 single “Never Gonna Give You Up”.
The Westboro Baptist Church has established a reputation as being a place known for its hate speech. Still… kudos to the guy in the truck wearing fluorescent Speedos. The group was ready to protest a recent concert from the Foo Fighters, probably due to their viral video from 2011 that was homo-erotic in nature.
The Foo Fighters’ actions were met with cheers online, with many applauding the group for turning the tables on the protesters.
This is also not the first time that the Foo Fighters and the WBC have gotten into a fracas in Kansas City.
Grohl held up a sign that stated “Keep It Clean”, a reference to the last time the Foo Fighters upstaged a Westboro protest against them.
In a monologue between songs at the gig later that day, Dave Grohl took the time to address their protest and why the band felt the need to roll out.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Grohl said he is recovering well but does not know when he’ll be ready to get rid of the throne and stand on his own two feet.
