Authorities are trying to determine if a man in custody is the wanted Florida worldwide University foot sniffer.

It is unsure how many women fell victim of Juan’s foot smelling fetish, or if he meant to enact any harm on his victims at any time.
Authorities say a man matching the description was spotted Tuesday on a scooter several miles from the campus.
Students had snapped photos of Juan in the act of foot-sniffing – down on the carpet and looking worse for the wear. Police believe that female students may not have even noticed him.
The man also had a backpack. FIUPD released a statement Monday that read in part, “It is not clear to police what the intention of the man was, and no one was hurt as result of this incident”. To suggest that in a city like Miami that the guy could probably easily find some willing feet in exchange for a few bucks is not appropriate.
It may seem amusing at first but student Gerald Trueblood said, “I think that’s pretty insane”. Of that we know for sure.
The staff at FIU’s Green Library has been notified about the incident and has been asked to contact FIUPD if they see this individual.

Police records show that Juan’s delinquency traces back to 1992, according to NBC Miami, including lewd and lascivious behavior with a child, as well as indecent exposure.
