Football expert questions if Jose Mourinho’s methods still work at Chelsea
The Blue slumped to their ninth Premier League defeat of the season so far after a 2-1 defeat by surprise leaders Leicester City at King Power Stadium on Monday night. They’re not going to get relegated I think if we are honest so I’m sure there’s a view from Roman Abramovich to say, “Hang on, let’s see what happens at the end of the season”.

Former English footballer Wayne Bridge has warned Chelsea not to sack their manager Jose Mourinho, insisting that they would regret by doing so.
The Portuguese also gave a damning assessment of his players’ form throughout the campaign, telling Sky Sports: “I feel like my work was betrayed”. That he has failed to get Chelsea out of the hole he has helped to put them in is clearly a blot on his copybook, but let’s not forget what this two-time Champions League winning boss has done before.
Rodgers was rumoured a month ago to be one of the options Chelsea were considering if they sacked Jose Mourinho.
“We’ve been here before at Chelsea where managers change in the middle of the season”, Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer told Sky Sports.
“They are not going to make the top four or the top six, they are not going to get relegation”.
“Why make a rash change now that can’t affect the year?”
Instead Lampard has called on the squad to raise their game after a series of below-par displays. Chelsea on a bad year should be top six. “At the moment they have to be humble, they have to look to the Leicester boys and feel that they are the stars, they are the top players”. I don’t know whether [Mourinho]’s lost them but something has to change right now, whether it’s the attitude or the performance.

“If you fail, if you fall short of the demands of an owner, or of a football club, you have a wage bill that is second or first in the Premier League and you come 16th or 15th, then of course you have to lose your job”.
