Football is coming: ‘Game of Thrones’ creator at Jets camp

It’s no secret that renowned author George R.R. Martin is a diehard New York Jets fan. He hung out and shared laughs with general manager Mike Maccagnan, who is a big “Game of Thrones” fan.

Decked out in a black Jets hat, black trousers, T-shirt and suspenders decorated with skulls and crossbones, Martin chatted with players, fans and Jets officials who surely wanted to know the fates of characters Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Sansa Stark and Daenerys Targaryen, among others. Fans of both the books and the TV series know that weddings in the fictional world of Westeros normally bring despair to the characters.

Martin is the author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” fantasy novels that were turned into the award-winning series “Game of Thrones” on HBO.

Martin is actually a huge Jets fan and often writes about it on his personal blog – check out posts such as “No, No, No” (about the Tim Tebow trade, ) “Oh, My Poor Jets” and two posts entitled “Jets Crash Again”, one of which starts with the phrase “life is meaningless and full of pain”.

It was also said that George R.R. Martin, logically, was not hinting to “The Winds of Winter” but to “Wild Cards”, which was the book that he was hoping to get done for final editing, The Inquisitr reported. In his free time, Martin additionally retains a web-based journal through which he blogs about no matter’s on his thoughts, together with the state of the Jets and Giants.

Martin had an easy solution on how to settle it all — and, no, not trial by combat.

“And while I will be travelling, my army on minions will be here at the old basement, toiling in the paper mines”, Martin said.
