For a few Oscar doc nominees, films incite change
Several have either said they would take no part in this year’s Academy Awards by boycotting the ceremony overall, while others have since revealed plans to attend a benefit in Flint, Michigan, to raise money for the water crisis in that city. “I’m only here cause Ellen said no. And I’m sure she said no like eight times”.

Best supporting actress nominee Alicia Vikander had her first experience at awards season after appearing in the Danish nominated film ‘A Royal Affair’.
Released just days before the 88th Academy Awards 2016 which are set to be organised on February 28, the findings showed that 89 percent of film directors shortlisted for the Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature have been white and 77 percent have been male over the past three years.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, the best actress nominee said “I didn’t know what to expect because I’d never been here before so I spoke with my dear friend Emma Stone and was like “What do I do?’ and she said “You’re going to love it. You’re inside the TV” and so going in here with that perspective that like ‘I’m inside the TV right now” makes it so silly and amusing that I’m having a blast”.

“There is no way for him to seize the moment and come into this thing and say, “I’m going to say this and say that I’m going to address the issue but then I’m still going to keep my gig as the host”. You know, what’s the subjects that are big right now in Hollywood”. So, as we head into the actual final stretch of the lengthy Oscar marathon, here are my best-guess picks for Sundays competition, as well as explanations as to why Im leaning in each direction. He adds, “I just don’t think it’s fair that people who are in the Academy are penalized”.
