For Donald Trump, for 1 night, there was so much winning

Mr Trump is probably the most openly racist candidate since Mr George Wallace, the segregationist, in 1972.

But though Kasich said he would not “trash” other candidates, he delivered a stinging rebuke against Cruz who has proposed a major overhaul of the tax code, which he said would eliminate the need for the Internal Revenue Service.

Yet even before New Hampshire results were final, Moore declined to condemn Trump when given the opportunity – a clear attempt not to alienate his supporters.

When nearly 65 percent of New Hampshire Republicans vote for someone else, your campaign needs more than a little fine tuning. Jeb Bush is hoping to hang on by engineering a strong performance in SC. The people cheering behind him were an especially eclectic and vibrant mix (I know the “optics” are usually managed, but still).

“Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified”, Trump wrote on Twitter. Trump has called that a “lie”.

“Do not listen to anyone who says you have to vote a certain way or for a certain candidate because you’re a woman”.

As New York Magazine reported back in 2013, the first female secretary of state said the same line at a 2004 Wellesley panel, at a 2006 WNBA luncheon, and to Time magazine in 2008. The long and languorous phase of 2016, when candidates could spend weeks concentrating on a single state, is now in the rearview mirror. Exit polls showed 57 percent of voters wanted someone outside the political establishment. The president is slated to address the Illinois General Assembly. Nor will any shift in her message or beheadings of her staff do much to help her. We’re going to beat all of these countries that are taking so much of our money away from us on a daily basis.

Donald Trump is a hemorrhoid of a human being, at times seeming more like an experiment in how much you can bamboozle conservative voters before they get a clue. A Chris Christie spokeswoman said his race was over, too. His success in the Republican race – and that of Senator Bernie Sanders, a self-described socialist, on the Democratic side – testifies to how the political establishment has lost the trust of voters.

Rubio added: “I don’t think he’s shown any in depth understanding of the issues”.

Sanders met for breakfast in Harlem with the Rev. Al Sharpton, a civil rights activist.

Sharpton said he won’t endorse a candidate until he and various heads of national civil rights organisations meet with Clinton next week. Few said only Clinton is.

But a mood of pessimism does not appear to be a distinguishing feature of Trump voters. “And I wanted to get back in the game”.

Host Norah O’Donnell asked whether Trump is calling for Kim Jong-un’s assassination.

Trump, the brash real estate billionaire and television personality who has never held public office, had 35 percent among the Republicans, with moderate Ohio Governor John Kasich a distant second with 16 percent. Marco Rubio and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush all locked in a tight race, along with Cruz.

Cruz came in third, leading Bush by less than a percentage point.

Rubio would not acknowledge that losing to Bush here would be detrimental to his campaign.

The 60-second ad, “Steady Hand, will air throughout the state”.

“We can tell our story of how we climbed the ladder, and a lot of you younger women think it’s done”.

Christie indicated he would go home to New Jersey to reassess his chances after finishing sixth. And if Trump becomes president, restraint at the DOJ will be all the more important. “It wasn’t the worst thing in the world”. Ohio Governor John Kasich, seemingly lacking any momentum throughout the campaign, bet all he had on New Hampshire, with a voter-by-voter strategy and the holding of over 100 town hall meetings. Turning more serious, Kasich marveled at the scene in New Hampshire Tuesday night, where thousands of voters continued to wait to vote, despite the fact the polls had been scheduled to close an hour earlier. “I’m surprised he didn’t do better”. She acknowledged she has “some work to do, particularly with young people”.

Unfortunately for Kasich, it seems as though that spot was already taken and then some by another outspoken candidate. “We have a very diverse electorate here, the state is diverse geographically and diverse in terms of issues people care about”, said South Carolina GOP chairman Matt Moore. Former tech executive Carly Fiorina announced via Facebook on Wednesday that she is ending her campaign after another dismal showing.
