For House Speaker Ryan, opportunity, and risk, at convention
Day one of the Republican National Convention gives a hint at how important the Keystone State will be in the November election, as Speaker of the House and 2012 vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan addressed the Pennsylvania delegation breakfast.

He punched up national security issues, highlighting an increased role for America in a world that he said “is on fire”.
Pence, the former member of Congress and IN governor picked to be Trump’s vice president candidate, “is a man who has the courage of his convictions”, Ryan said. In his caption, Ryan said those pictured with him were all “Capitol Hill interns”.
Morelli said Ryan talked about the differences between Trump and Clinton and how important winning Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes is to winning the election.
Ryan will deliver a speech to the convention on Tuesday. “Then they got elected and implemented those solutions”, Ryan said.
Ryan, instead, spent most of his remarks talking about the House GOP’s legislative agenda and efforts by Congressional Republicans to advance a program it believes offers a constructive alternative to the Democrats. We know it’s going in the wrong direction, and so the question in these kinds of moments – in these kinds of times – is: “What are you going to do about it?” “We have put together this very robust policy agenda that Donald Trump will sign”.
Speaking to a room of state delegates, Speaker Ryan emphasized what he called the “positive reforms” that have been made by Republicans in Wisconsin – saying the nation needs the same thing.

“In Wisconsin, we saw problems, then we had leaders like Scott Walker go out and identify solutions”. That’s why, Ryan said, they want to make sure that when agencies or departments release regulations that have a great impact on business that Congress has to approve them. Remember?
