For sale: Housebroken bison in Texas

“She doesn’t mess up a thing, and walks around very neatly like she belongs in the house”, Schoeve added.

An 8-year-old bison named Bullet has outgrown its Texas home and the owner wants to find a new place for the 1,000-pound pet to roam. If you think you could give Bullet a better home, she is on sale for just under $6,000.

“When she is hot and sweaty, she’ll come in and lay on the couch”, Schoeve said.

Apparently, Bullet likes chase and spar with a riding lawn mower, wheel barrow or her truck when she’s out in the field.

‘I just think she deserves better – better space, bigger grassland, ‘ Schoeve told WFAA.

In her own words, “She followed me down the hallway and hung out in my bedroom too”.

Shoeve said she purchased an original 1880s boarding house in Texas with with her then-husband, with dreams of fixing it up and turning it into a Western-themed attraction.

Karen Shoeve and her 7-year-old bison live on what she calls her Ranch of Broken Promises. “She has never gone to the bathroom [in the house], either”.

She recalled one night, Bullet had escaped.

Schoeve said she now works full time, and her pasture has become muddy and unmanageable. The post indicated that “if this ad is still showing, the buffalo is still for sale”. Bullet is also famous, having made an appearance in the children’s book, Heaven Is For Animals by Nancy Tillman.

Bullet, interestingly enough, loves being indoors.
