At the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Premiere she looked fantastic and definitely confident to handle the fame that comes with a lead role in Star Wars.

“We’re really disappointed because we are big Star Wars fans, and we were hoping to at least see a little of the celebrities”, said Natalie Arnet, a tourist from Paris. The premiere on Monday will be followed by a global roll-out taking in a dozen countries beginning Wednesday before the film officially reaches USA theaters on Friday.

The premiere featured red carpet arrivals flanked by Stormtrooper costumes and Star Wars memorabilia. This includes the preparation of derivative works of, or the incorporation of such content intoother works. Please see our terms of service for more information.

“None of us would be here tonight without the miraculous creation of one man. George Lucas, from the bottom of my heart, on behalf of everyone involved in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens, ‘ thank you sir”, said J.J. Abrams, the film’s director.

“I bought tickets about a month and a half ago, whenever they got released”, says “Star Wars” fan Chris Capasso of Comics N Toys in River Edge.

About two dozen die-hard fans have braved rain, cold and wind for more than a week while they camped out outside the TCL Chinese Theatre for a chance to be one of the first to see the movie when it opens later this week. While many opted for chic red carpet attire, Joseph Gordon-Levitt showed up dressed as Jedi master Yoda. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who will helm the Han Solo stand-alone film, were also in attendance, seeing the film for the first time.

The Walt Disney Co. pulled out all the stops for the event, closing down four blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and screening the movie in not one but three theaters: the El Capitan, the Dolby Theater and the TCL Chinese Theatre.

The fans went into a frenzy seeking autographs and pictures as the stars of the new movie walked the red carpet – including the heroes of the original “Star Wars” trilogy, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, and newcomers Daisy Ridley, Max von Sydow, Gwendolyn Christie and John Boyega.

“It’s so great to see you”, Ford said.
