Force is strong in Sydney as Harrison Ford greets fans
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens December 18, with many theaters showing the movie the night before.

British actor John, 23, was cast in the role of Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens but decided not to ask veteran actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher or Mark Hamill for their guidance. In a special press event of the JJ Abrams film “Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens” Kennedy verified that Johnson and Abrams are in talks since Johnson was about to start filming “Star Wars Episode VIII”.
When George Lucas first created Star Wars, it was a mishmash of inspirations from ancient mythology and Japanese samurai films through to classic Westerns and Flash Gordon.
“We screened the movie, and it was horrifying”, said Abrams. The Star Wars 1313 trademark was then abandoned by Disney late in 2013.
Chinese idol Lu Han gives a short intro to the trailer which features a few new shots and some new dialogue from the movie.
The big victor is the shot of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) back behind the controls of the Millennium Falcon alongside some fresh-eyed passengers.
“We’re all guessing what it was all about but at the end of the day, as a true fan you go, “listen I’m not going to think about this”.
“Star Wars” fans can easily buy advanced tickets to see the next chapter in a galaxy far, far away, but they’re still lining up for the new movie anyway.
