Ford Fusion V6 Sport breaks cover with 325 hp and AWD
Ford also took the opportunity to tease that the Fusion will be packed with 325hp and 350ft-lbs of torque to offer from the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 turbocharged engine that it runs on. This is good enough to produce 325 hp and 474 Nm of torque, higher than all their main rivals in this segment.

The new Fusion adds a Sport and a Platinum trim level to the top of a lineup that already includes the S, SE and top-end Titanium.
If you’re not lost yet, there’s a new trim-topping Platinum class with Cocoa wood, 19-inch wheels and only the finest Venetian leather from the uplands of Venetia. The 1.5 and 2.0 liter Ecoboost engines also get new dual-scroll turbochargers, with outputs of around 200 hp and 250 hp, respectively. Repositioned USB ports are now illuminated as well, and the 2017 Fusion is fitted with the latest Sync 3 version of Ford’s interactive infotainment system.
Ford Motor Co.is giving its 2017 Fusion family sedan a face-lift that excises the Aston Martin-style grille that helped make it a hit four years ago and replaces it with more racy styling and horsepower to counteract a swoon in sales. Look for the new Fusion models to go on sale in the summer of 2016 with the V6 Sport arriving several weeks later. It looks like the design-driven philosophy is back, as the 2017 Ford Fusion Energi features a slimmer grill, angular headlights, and a redesigned lower front.
Recharging Fusion Energi can be done overnight in just 2.5 hours. To keep the power on the road, The V6 Sport’s suspension will have continuously controlled damping to alter its tuning based on setup and road input. Fusion Energi features a 7.6-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery for an expected range of 19 miles using electric power only. There are reprofiled bumpers at front and rear along with new alloy wheel designs, headlamps and tail lamps – typical mid-cycle update stuff – but the differences aren’t all that stark. The auto automatically switches to the gasoline mill when the battery is depleted, allowing you to drive more than 500 miles when you also have a full tank of gas.

Together, Fusion V6 Sport, Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi, and Fusion Platinum offer three different flavors of an award-winning lineup for midsize sedan customers. Fusion also has hands-free parallel and perpendicular parking capability. The model has a differentiated grille and 19-inch polished wheels, Ford said.
