Ford Performance has embarked on an ambitious model offensive that will spawn no less than 12 brand new sports cars by the year 2020. The special editions will also see the introduction of the high-performance 1.0-litre 138bhp Ecoboost petrol engine, only previously seen in the Fiesta Zetec S.
Customers can choose the Zetec Red Edition which features a Race Red body, White Edition in Frozen White and the Silver Edition in Moondust Silver. Buyers are given a choice of three or five-door body styles. The multi-purpose vehicle will also come with a black front grille, rear spoiler, rear diffuser and privacy glass. The interior gets a makeover too, with a contrasting black gear knob, a leather steering wheel with white stitching and white inserts for the interior door handles.
Inside, the centre console is painted black and red stitching features on the wheel, gearstick, handbrake and seats.
The Fiesta will be offered as a Black or White edition, with contrasting roof and wing mirrors.
Apparently, though, it is alread hard at work developing a Fiesta RS as part of its continued roll-out of additional performance cars including the Focus RS, GT and Mustang Shelby GT350/GT350R duo.
The Fiesta Zetec Black and White Editions are on sale now.
The new Ford Focus RS looks set to be a triumph for Ford, with its 4WD powertrain, drift mode and 345bhp from its 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine. Besides the obvious power upgrade we’re also going to be treated to an updated sport-tuned suspension and better brakes.
