Not this year, thanks to an extra rest day. They can start ordering championship rings now.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James is undecided about playing in the 2016 Olympics and said he will make a decision shortly after the NBA Finals conclude. So with that said, here is the blueprint for the Cavaliers to make this NBA Finals a competitive series once again. Each of those seven games have been on the road, as will the next Game 3, Wednesday night against Cleveland in the NBA Finals. “I got myself in a lot of trouble tonight personally”, said James. “I’ll figure out ways I can be better”. A LeBron James-led comeback certainly looks improbable, but it’s not impossible. The pressure that comes with a 0-2 deficit is enough to cause a bit of panic. But it turned out it was the Warriors who delivered a resounding message in Game 2, with a blowout 110-77 win to a take a 2-0 series lead. And while Curry played just 24 minutes in Game 2 due to foul trouble, he still managed to score 18 points and grab a team-high nine rebounds. But it could be worse if forward Kevin Love, whose status is uncertain, is unable to go on Wednesday after receiving an inadvertent elbow to the head from Harrison Barnes.

If Love can’t go, the Cavaliers might have no choice but to reinvent themselves with their realistic title hopes hanging by a thread. If they turn the ball over 20 times, which is good, in our home building, we should be fine to get out and run and play with pace. However, if the Cavs are able to successfully communicate with each other in transition every time down the floor and are able to implement the other strategies outlined above, they just might have a chance of turning this series around. Probably with a sense of desperation. They might go big.

“We can’t have as many mental lapses”.

Following their Game 1 loss, the Cavaliers spoke early and often of their intent to infuse their offense with more pace and tempo in Game 2. That didn’t workout too well for the Cavs, as they were blown off the court by the Warriors in-game two. The Golden State bench has averaged 42.5 points per game through the first two contests of the Finals.

“We’re a confident bunch especially at home, definitely our role players have given us a huge boost throughout this postseason”, said James. “We need to have that same mentality”.

Love, who missed most of the playoffs and finals a year ago with a dislocated shoulder, was not seen while the Cavs practiced at Quicken Loans Arena before the Warriors held their workout.

The first two games haven’t provided much in terms of a competitive matchup.

“They did what they were supposed to do at home”, Irving said. “They’re coming home. They can change the momentum around with just one win”.

That’s nearly an obligatory sentiment, though. As the Cavaliers dedicated defenders to stopping Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, Green was frequently left unguarded at the three-point line, and Green cashed in 5 of his 8 three-point attempts.
