Former Gawker editor called in Hulk Hogan sex video trial

In a stunning display of sexism, the second question, seen in the video below, was if Carmichael ever had an “intimate relationship” with former editor-in-chief A.J.

Hulk Hogan, whose given name is Terry Bollea, enters a Pinellas County courtroom, Monday, March 14, 2016, in St Petersburg, Fla.

“If they were a child”, he told an attorney for Hogan.

Bubba Clem allegedly filmed the video at the Clems’ house and without Hogan’s knowledge.

Attorneys for Gawker said they were pleased with Daulerio’s testimony. Lawyers for Gawker Media began presenting their case on Monday.

Later in the day, Denton conveyed to the court what he considers Gawker’s foundational principle: That a conversation between two journalists over a drink is more interesting than what actually makes it in the newspaper. But we’re just beginning as a society to reset legal lines in the Digital Age for protection of personal privacy, personal information reported by the news media, how we deal with so-called “revenge porn”, and even the extent to which you and I can post critical comments online.

CNN is reporting that HULK HOGAN, embroiled in a high-profile lawsuit with GAWKER MEDIA over the publication of a sex tape, settled with BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE, whose ex-wife was in the tape with HOGAN, for $5,000.

Daulerio said he first read about it on TMZ in March of 2012. “I gave him everything that I had”, Linda said.

Bollea attorney David Houston said Gawker had done itself irreparable harm by putting Daulerio on the stand.

St. Petersburg, Fla. • A former editor at Gawker was called to the stand during the start of the second week of the Hulk Hogan sex video trial.

Daulerio insisted he wasn’t serious, and that the attorneys present in the deposition were “100%” clear he was being sarcastic.

“You were joking about child pornography, were you not?”

Did he think it was amusing to joke about that, the attorney asked.

“I was amused by it”, says Daulerio.

Vogt also used the cross-examination to take aim at Gawker’s free speech argument. Gawker’s legal defense also tried to clarify controversial statements made about celebrity sex tapes and children.

But Vogt noted that the story Daulerio wrote didn’t include any mention of Hogan’s autobiography or his reality show, two venues where the plaintiff spoke candidly about his sexual exploits.

Daulerio told Gawker’s lawyer that he could have published a much racier version of the video.

“When you edited the tape, you made sure the readers saw Mr. Bollea’s penis, didn’t you?” asked Vogt.

It did not, the defendant said.

On the witness stand, Daulerio acknowledged that he hadn’t considered the former wrestler’s right to privacy before publishing the post. “There are nude body parts involved”.
