Former Liverpool boss urges the club to take action after Anfield protest
The Football Supporters’ Federation confirmed on Monday (local time) that it would convene a meeting of fan organisations of all 20 top-flight teams to plot coordinated action in the wake of the historic demonstration at Anfield last Saturday. On that they, too, will bury their heads.

And all for the sake of 20 grand or whatever insignificant sum it is they’d make per game from it.
Can we shine the light on the agents?
Aulas said he felt that there was so much money in England because clubs had invested, but that without the famously enthusiastic English fans they might see a turn around in affairs.
The 38-year-old said “I was paid well, yes, but I was there for 17 years and in comparison to some of the other players who were in that squad, it was fair”. It is the root of all evil, as they say.
He wrote: “All this for the sake of £2m for the ninth richest club in the world!”
The new logo – a crowned lion’s head gazing to the right, accompanied by either the words “Premier League” or “PL” – will replace the current logo of a lion with its left paw on a football. The next satellite TV increase is in the post.
Do it for us – Against Modern Football. We all pay, and if we don’t someone else in an emerging football market will. “It wasn’t just Liverpool fans sticking up for themselves, it was Liverpool fans saying “enough is enough” for every supporter across the land”. Premier League director of communications Dan Johnson told BBC Radio 5 live: “We’re working on it, clubs are working on it and there will be something meaningful and substantial in place for the start of next season”. And when Jermaine Defoe turned Sakho to smash home a late equaliser, the only thing you could hear into the Anfield sunset was the cheers of Sunderland supporters: “We are staying up, say we are staying up” they shrilled. With the extra money they have got, they could actually get everybody to watch the games for free, but they are too greedy.
FOOTBALL fans fed up with extortionate ticket prices are calling for a universal cap.
One of the most galling aspects of Premier prices is that many teams just don’t need to ask for more, they don’t need to charge anywhere near those eye watering amounts. They might be so deluded they will think what began here at Anfield will not spread.
Perhaps the experience will be a little more comfortable, in terms of vantage point, refreshments on offer, and thousands of others to huddle with for warmth.

Full credit must go to the Liverpool supporters who walked out of the game against for Sunderland for putting this issue firmly on the agenda. You might think this match report is not about the game.
