Former Liverpool defender Kolo Toure undergoes medical
Kolo Toure is looking forward to the challenge at Celtic.

KOLO Toure is on the verge of becoming Celtic’s “wildcard” signing for their third qualifying round Champions League tie away in Kazakhstan with reports that the 35-year-old centre-back is now undergoing a medical at Ross Hall.
The 35-year-old is a free agent after not being handed a new contract at Liverpool by Jurgen Klopp, ending a three-year spell with the Reds.
Following Brendan Rodgers’ arrival at Celtic, many have suggested a possible reunion with Toure could be on the cards and it seems the Northern Irish boss has wasted no time in lining up a deal.
With Rangers back in the top division though, they’ll face a sterner test of doing the same again this time around.
“Of course it’s a privilege to be able to be linked with such a big club”.
“Possibly something can be done today (Thursday) but we have the option of the wildcard up until the day before the game, so it gives us a bit of leeway”.
Rodgers has been keen to add some high profile signings to his squad since taking over at Celtic in May, with the capture of out-of-contract Ivory Coast worldwide Toure certain to be a popular signing.

The deadline for players to sign was July 21st ahead of the next round of Champions League qualifiers but each team is allowed one “wildward” player.
