Former Mouseketeer and American Idol contestant Marque Lynche found dead at 34

Police are still investigating Lynche’s death after his roommate found him lifeless in his New York City apartment.

The actor-singer was an MMC cast member from 1993-1995, when he starred (as Tate Lynche) alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling at the beginning of their careers.

According to TMZ, the medical examiner’s office conducted an exam of the body on Monday afternoon but a cause of death is still to be determined. He appeared on the program opposite Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.

He was also a finalist on American Idol’s third season and appeared in an off-Broadway production of Fame. Fantasia Barrino eventually won that season.

Lynche’s brother, Michael Lynche, a former college football player, competed in the show the following year and made it to the top four.

Lynche ended up taking a break from the TV and musical industries after his mother died. However, as recently as a year ago had begun recording and self-releasing music again, as well as performing in church.
