Former National Hockey League Star Sean Avery Marries Hilary Rhoda
The wedding took place in an outdoor ceremony at the Parrish Art Museum on Long Island on Saturday afternoon, and (clearly) lived up to Avery’s 2013 comments to PEOPLE that the superstar couple was going to plan “the most lovely and fun wedding that we could ever imagine”.

Rhoda wore a unique Carolina Herrera gown with a black collar and turquoise panel beneath the bodice. Her hair was in a sleek updo and was covered with a cascading veil.
The newlyweds first met at a bar opened by Avery.
Last month Avery was arrested by Southampton police after they received reports that someone was throwing objects at speeding cars. The retired New York Rangers player was also slapped with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance for medications oxycodone and roxicodone, and released on $500 (£313) bail. His lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., told ET that the drugs in question were prescriptions.

While rumors swirled the couple might head to Greece for their honeymoon, Avery will have to make sure he’s back by October. 26. Rodham wore a custom dress for the occasion and rocked 14.7 carats of diamonds.
