Former OSU QB trying to catch on as wide receiver

The sobering analytics:This is my 28 Browns training camp as a reporter or analyst. One of the things that’s big in my life is servant leadership. We all know how training camp went for the Browns a season ago.

Thursday morning, Browns fans will flock to Berea for another year of training camp. What I liked about it, regardless after the ball was snapped, is the command in the huddle and the knowledge of the offense and to be able to take a play and if a guy was lined up wrong and move him and just the way the plays are being called and the cadence. That’s not being arrogant or cocky. “No one outworks me, so I believe in my heart if I put my mind to anything, I can accomplish it”.

Cornerback Joe Haden is already encouraged by what little he’s seen of Pryor thus far, saying, “We ran the conditioning test yesterday, and this is the first time I got a chance to meet Pryor, and he’s huge….”

A former quarterback with Oakland, Pryor has transitioned to wide receiver and will try to win a roster spot with the Browns, who are intrigued by the 6-foot-4, 225-pounder’s ability. Still, he was impressed by Pryor’s work ethic at the Moss Academy.

Under the new guidelines, the official in charge of K balls used in the kicking game would handle all footballs after they pass inspection by the two chosen game officials. Pryor has all the makings to be an elite wide receiver in the NFL.

Pettine joked that he’s seen projections ranking the Browns fifth in the four-team AFC North, but got more serious about how the Browns can use that to their advantage. Pryor looks to add another name to that ledger. Much of their immediate future will be dictated by how well Manziel can play, and they’ve got to make his success as likely as possible.

“I take full responsibility for my actions and it’s my intention to work very hard to regain everyone’s trust and respect”, Manziel said, according to USA Today.

“Nobody wants to be disrespected”, Pettine said, via the Associated Press. He’s a big role model for me. I didn’t know any better, and that’s one of the things I brought it up here and researched it and saw that it was feasible to do.

Pryor even chimed in on Gordon’s troubled past in the league, and what he’s doing now to turn things around.

“It doesn’t feel like I’m far off”, Pryor says. “They had a great first half last year and everything, so I’d like to see them do that through the first season, have a decent record”. He’s working on his (charitable) foundation and talking about visiting kids in hospitals in Cleveland.

“It’s absolutely based on football”, Pettine said of the decision to make the change or not. The Crew is interested in sharing a new workout facility with the NFL franchise, and team officials recently confirmed that talks have been ongoing. (DB) Tramon Williams made a heck of a play on another one. Another time he threw a pass to rookie wide receiver Vince Mayle that should have been caught, but Mayle dropped the pass. I can tell you that, ” head coach Mike Pettine said. As primarily a running quarterback, Pryor could be lethal with 6-4, 225-pound size and great speed. Everywhere I’ve been after the Raiders there has been a guy who’s been drafted getting paid a lot of money and then they drafted a second guy. He signed with the Bengals on May 10 and was cut on June 18.
