Former Pirate Merritt qualifies for Rio in 200m

Accompanying Porter to Rio will be Oregon Ducks American Football wide receiver Devon Allen, who won in 13.03, and Ronnie Ash, who was given the same time as Porter.
Aries Merritt, the reigning Olympic champion and world record holder, finished his heat in third place in 13.64 seconds, but is confident he can improve as the competition progresses. 01 seconds behind Porter.

Merritt, who received a kidney transplant in September, needed to finish in the top three to qualify for Rio.
