Former Razorback and current Dallas Cowboys’ running back Darren McFadden is expected to be out the next two months after undergoing surgery to fix a broken elbow he suffered in an accident at his home.
The impressive stable of running backs compiled by the Dallas Cowboys lost one of its top options for a solid chunk of the offseason Tuesday.
Last year’s leading rusher, Darren McFadden, fractured his elbow and underwent surgery on Tuesday.
Garrett said McFadden practiced during last week’s organized team activities with the broken elbow.
“We do anticipate seeing him at some point in training camp”. Elliott and McFadden are expected to compete for carries this season.
McFadden, who had surgery Tuesday, was fourth in the National Football League in rushing last season with 1,089 yards. However, after Dallas’s running backs were unable to stay out of jail cells and I.R, the Cowboys’ 2016 season took a turn for the worst really quick, as they were never able to get anything going on the ground and injuries to Romo and Bryant doomed them from the start.
