Former Reagan aide helped write Trump foreign policy speech
The elder Reagan was the president of the United States from 1981 to 1989, and helped spearhead efforts in conservative philosophy for the Republican Party, which is in favor of advocating for lower taxes, a stronger military and advocating for smaller government. Reagan presidency was 30+ years ago and they vaguely remember him. Reagan appeared on the Tuesday night showing of NewsMax’s The Hard Line, where he discussed how the Trump U judge attacks were the latest antics “eroding” the integrity of the GOP. “This most likely would be the 1st time if my father was alive that he would not support the nominee of the GOP”, Reagan tweeted.

“My take is he took Hillary [Clinton] off the front pages, which is the dumbest thing you can do in a presidential election or any election”, he said. ‘So I think it’s safe to say you can assume either way’.
‘I didn’t know him well, ‘ Trump told the Wall Street Journal. I’m gonna find another place to put my vote.
Trump is also deliberately trying to recreate Reagan’s coalition with trade-based appeals that migh lure in blue collar Democrats.
Michael Reagan, a son of former President Ronald Reagan, tweeted Monday that he won’t vote for Donald Trump and doesn’t think his late father would have supported the presumptive GOP nominee. “I may even write in Ronald Reagan because I’m offended by what he said”.

Reagan’s comments seem quite the rebuke the Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson, who said yesterday that he has no way of knowing how his father would feel about Trump if he were still alive. “And he may even say, ‘I didn’t leave the party”.
