The Seniors Committee met in Canton on Monday to determine their finalist for this year’s process and the Hall announced on Monday that the choice is former Seahawks safety Kenny Easley.

However, the former Seahawks defensive back is going to have to wait nearly six months before he finds out if he’s in or not.
Easley ended up filing a lawsuit against the Seahawks, blaming the team for an Advil overdose years earlier that might’ve led to his kidney problem.
We know one of the names that will be up for consideration for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
To earn induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Easley, as with every candidate, must receive at least 80 percent of the vote. They will consider 18 finalists, including Easley, two contributors (to be named August 16), and 15 modern-era finalists.
The 15 modern-era finalists will be announced in January, while the two contributor finalists will be announced on Tuesday.
Easley was the No. 4 pick out of UCLA in the 1981 National Football League draft and spent all seven years of his career playing strong safety for Seattle. Seahawks blogger Bob Kaupang recently used the best traits of the current Legion of Boom stars to describe the five-time Pro Bowler.
In 1984, Easley was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

The Seniors Committee is comprised of nine members of the overall selection committee. It’s created to nominate a player whose career ended at least 25 years ago.
