Former Shocker Ron Baker signs with Knicks
Ron Baker looks to have continued his unlikely journey from college walk-on to National Basketball Association players with his signing Monday by the New York Knicks.

Ron Baker had an incredible college career at Wichita State before being invited by the New York Knicks to join their summer league roster. Per Ian Begley of ESPN New York, Baker’s deal is certain yet.
The Knicks have signed summer league guard Ron Baker to a contract. Terms are unclear, but Baker is believed to have some guaranteed money.
Until we hear otherwise, we will assume this signing merely brings Baker to Knicks training camp. Despite getting an offer to training camp, there is no guarantee that he will be on the final 15-man roster.
Baker, 6-4, 220-pounds, played four seasons at Wichita State University, averaging 13.2 points, on 43.3-percent shooting, with 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.31 steals over 30.6 minutes in 124 games.

Baker started all five Summer League games he appeared in, averaging 14 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.8 steals per contest in Orlando. If he doesn’t make the Knicks, he could play for their D-League team.
