Former Syracuse WR Jarrod West replaces Clemson QB Tahj Boyd
The 6-foot-2, 204-pound West now gets another shot with the Steelers, joining their 90-man roster. The move isn’t overly surprising being as Boyd hasn’t even played a snap so far during the preseason.

The Steelers have released quarterback Tajh Boyd and signed receiver Jarrod West.
The Steelers needed to pick up another wide receiver after David Nelson was injured during his first practice with the team.
Boyd had struggled through much of training camp, ball security being a paramount concern for the quarterback.
Former Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd has been released by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Boyd finished his college career as both Clemson’s and the ACC’s all-time career leader for passing yards (11,904) and touchdown passes (107). It didn’t last long, though, as the team released him three days later.

West was an undrafted rookie out of Syracuse who spent some time recently in camp with the New York Jets. During his tenure at Syracuse, West recorded 134 receptions for 1,838 yards.
