Former Toreros star Kris Bryant wins NL’s Rookie of the Year
Kris Bryant was named the Baseball Writers Association of America’s National League Rookie of the Year.

Bryant hit 43 home runs at Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa in 2014, and his home run off Kershaw – a two-run shot – was the first of two homers that led the Cubs to a 4-2 win on June 22.
According to MLB.com, Bryant won the NL Rookie of the Year award with a unanimous vote after coming in as the overall favorite.
