The Cincinnati courtroom’s gallery erupted as Judge Shanahan set the bail, and she ordered them to stop. The Enquirer confirmed that court records show it was Tensing’s father who posted bond.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters announced the charges at a news conference earlier this week. “I’ve been doing this for over 30 years”, Deters continued. “It was senseless”. He did not at all.

Mathews said Tensing “was in fear of his life at the time” of the shooting.

“We’re devastated, It’s heartbreaking”. He said Tensing’s family has also refused all media requests.

When the next responding officer walks up to the scene, he bumps Kidd in the chest near his body camera, asking him if it’s on.

Brinson’s family filed a a civil suit against UC police (and the hospital), accusing the officers involved in the incident of excessive force and of acting with “deliberate indifference to the serious medical and security needs of Mr. Brinson”.

He encouraged those to let the nation see what happens when there is an effort to things right, just and fair. He said the family is upset but wants any reaction to the case to be nonviolent and done in a way that honors his brother’s style.

“This officer was wrong”, Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell said, according to AP, insisting that officers “have to be held accountable”. “But, that doesn’t excuse away bad behavior”, he said. “When someone is terminated we certainly try to get that arbitration fast-tracked. We will get through this with a great justice process”. Tensing had stopped DuBose because his vehicle did not have a front license plate.

Mathews said Tensing is “not doing well” and “feels bad about” the shooting. In the three officers’ body camera footage, Tensing can be heard claiming immediately after the shooting that he had nearly been run over.

I mean this is, in the vernacular, a pretty chicken crap stop”.

He said he was on the scene with officer-in-training David Lindenschmidt.

At one point, Lindenschmidt asked if DuBose had pulled a weapon.

Wednesday, Tensing surrendered to authorities. And then, as the camera wobbles, he aims his revolver at DuBose and fires.

“The guy jams the keys in the ignition”, Stew Mathews told CNN.

“Matthews told the network, “(Dubose) turns the auto on, jams it (into) drive and mashes the accelerator.

Deters added that Dubose going limp and his foot lifting off the brake likely led to the car’s movement down the road. “He was simply slowly rolling away”.

Video footage tells a different story. The video evidence played a major role in the prosecutors’ decision to charge Tensing.

Tensing fired once, striking Mr DuBose in the head.

The people killed in each case have been black. “I discharged one round”. The videos show the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
