Fort Campbell soldiers injured in hard landing during training
Fort Campbell says about 1,400 soldiers with the 101st Airborne Division will deploy to Afghanistan this fall.

According to The Tennessean, the base’s public affairs office says at about 10:30 pm Wednesday, a helicopter made a hard landing at Fort Campbell.
All five soldiers aboard the aircraft suffered injuries and were transported to area hospitals. Fort Campbell officials are not releasing information about the severity of their injuries. Two were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they remain, while the others were taken to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Fort Campbell.
