The break-in happened at 6:30 p.m. on the 1100 block of Verde Drive. Police said a couple and their two children were home at the time. The man with the gun threatened to shoot the family and demanded property from them.
Police say a family of four says they were home Sunday evening when the four men walked in, one carrying a handgun. Fort Carson officials couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
Dustin Mincy, Mykal Hall, Aaron Hall and Roman Alred have been arrested for investigation of first degree burglary, menacing and child abuse, according to a Colorado Springs police report.
“It was a soldier on soldier issue” that Johnson said spurred from a dispute about personal property.
The suspects and victims knew each other according to police, who did not elaborate on the relationship.
