“I took the candy out of my mouth and noticed something silverish, so when I bent the candy back I found a sewing needle in it”, Burns said.

There were no signs of tampering visible to the exterior of the packaging, police said.
Pawtucket police continue to investigate after a city resident claimed she found a needle in a candy bar from her daughter’s trick-or-treat bag.
Toronto Police say the tainted chocolate bar was collected by the toddler while trick-or-treating in the area of Keele St. and Lawrence Ave.
State investigators also checked with local law enforcement in the area, but no other tampering cases were found. No injuries occurred.
Police have opened second-degree assault cases following the reports.
Christine Fonoti Liu said her 13-year-old daughter ripped open the wrapper of a Nestle Crunch fun size bar on Sunday night.
The needle had been “inserted” into a chocolate bar, she said.

“We’re still working on this”, he said. “This is the first one that I’ve heard of”, said Tessier. They are warning parents to inspect all candy brought home on Halloween before it is eaten.
