Four finish never enough for Arsenal, insists Wenger
Following the Gunners’ 2-1 pre-season victory over the MLS All Stars in San Jose, Wenger suggested his side was now light in forward areas. The challenge on Acosta, which sent the FC Dallas defender off the field for treatment, particularly drew the scorn of MLS All-Star head coach Dominic Kinnear in his postgame press conference.

Speaking in an interview with Arsenal Player, Wilshere said: “I’ve played against him a few times at youth level for England and also for the first team with England, so I know him quite well”.
“The goal that I score and we lose, it doesn’t count”.
“I believe it was just for us”.
Arsene Wenger believes Didier Drogba is still a danger after the 38-year-old scored in the MLS All-Star game.
Drogba, who now plays for Montreal Impact, tucked away his finish past former Blues teammate Petr Cech to extend his remarkable scoring feat against Arsenal. He played in all four of Switzerland’s games but was unable to get on the scoresheet and missed a vital penalty in their Round of 16 shootout defeat to Poland.
Didier Drogba remains a unsafe player who continues to haunt Arsenal, Arsene Wenger said after the 38-year-old scored against the Gunners yet again. For Drogba, who spent nearly a decade as teammates with Cech at Chelsea, he is looking forward to facing his friend on Thursday. “But you had top-quality players on the pitch together, and you feel that every time you make a mistake, they can take advantage of you”. Laurent Ciman attempted to box out Campbell as the ball trickled towards the net, but instead brought down the Arsenal striker.
After defeating Tottenham Hotspur of the EPL and German giant Bayern Munich the previous two years, the All-Stars lost their mojo against Arsenal, the famous English team that is the topic of Nick Hornby’s best-selling autobiography.
“Overall, it was less aggressive”, Wenger said. “I think these players are out there to show us that they are good players”.

Wenger’s main objectives were to get his team in shape, give some of his young players minutes and, of course, to win.
