A 52-year-old man, who allegedly stabbed his two-month-old granddaughter to death and seriously wounded his wife and daughter, has been charged by police on Friday.

The baby’s mother reportedly raised the alarm, running to neighbours after she was stabbed in the arms and asking for the whereabouts of her baby.
Police have struggled to determine the motivation for the multiple stabbings, which took place in the eastern Australian city on Wednesday and left the community reeling.
Police said the man and woman were visiting Brisbane from China and that all four were related.
Two crime scenes have been established, with both Watheroo Place and Mapelton Circuit closed.
Police examine the scene.
An investigation was underway and police said early on Wednesday evening no further information was available at the time.
“It was a real shock to us to see this happen”.
“It is a quiet street, lovely suburb, and we’ve just come home to see all these police and ambulances and stuff”.
Nearby residents reported hearing blood-curdling screams before running onto the street to find a distressing scene.
A video filmed by a witness shows the grandfather covered in blood, lying on the ground while officers arrest him.
“We would like to ask members of the community and the media to please respect our privacy and the dignity of our family at this time”, Mr Xu, who was at work when the horrific stabbing unfolded, said in a statement on Friday.
The scene in the aftermath of the incident.
Natasha and Peter Walsh said they often saw the family walking through the neighbourhood but most neighbours in the area didn’t really talk to each other.
“When I saw him outside, he was losing a lot of blood”.
“It was pretty surreal”.
“They had the garage door open… you could see all the blood in the garage and then the train from when they walked to the neighbour’s house”.
Police remain with all three people in hospital.
