Four killed in communal violence in UP
A group of Muslim girls were reportedly harassed by youths from the Jat community while they were on their way to school in Peda village.

Three people were killed in clashes between two communities n Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district on Friday, reports said.
Violence broke out after a girl was allegedly harassed by a group of men, triggering a fight.
“When the members of the minority community protested they were fired at”. One person was killed at the spot, while three others died during treatment. “Two others succumbed in the hospital”, the police official said.
Seven companies of the PAC and additional police forces were deployed. Police say that the situation has been brought under control. The injured were identified as Furkan, Ansar, Saleem, Aladdin, Shahnawaz and Sarfaraz.
Enraged over the killing, an angry mob torched some houses and indulged in stone pelting, besides blocking traffic on NH 119 with the bodies, sources added.
Six accused have been detained by police in this connection.
Two police personnel, including an inspector, were suspended and a probe was ordered.
ADG (Law and Order) Daljit Chaudhary has air-dashed to Bijnore to take stock of the situation while the DGP Javeed Ahmad is closely monitoring the situation.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced a compensation of Rs 20 lakh each to the kin of the deceased and Rs 5 lakh each to those injured. Similar incidents had sparked riots that ripped through Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts in 2013.
