Four Men Await Charges In Minneapolis Black Lives Matter Shooting
It wasn’t immediately clear what prompted the shooting or how many suspects police were searching for. Wronski-Riley said that at this point the men “turned around and without warning and started shooting at us… everything was super chaotic”. The confession was described in an application for a search warrant filed in Hennepin County court, the Star Tribune reported Wednesday night.

Authorities raided the man’s Bloomington home and seized a dozen weapons. The protesters are still dug in at the protest site, which hosted a concert on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.
Black Lives Matter’s Facebook page indicates protesters are concerned about food security after threats to put rat poison in donated food.
A Black Lives Matter Minneapolis official said several men wearing masks approached the precinct station demonstrators late Monday.
More than 150 people are gathered in front of the police station, talking and eating around campfires. For activists, his arrest is an indication that that change hasn’t come quickly enough.
Grimm said organizers have a large Thanksgiving meal planned for Thursday. “We ain’t turning around, but we’re here fighting for justice”. Earlier in the day, shots were fired and one man arrested.
A spokesman for the Hennepin County Attorney said that office has until 4 pm local time to make a decision on filing charges and it expected to make an announcement at that time. None of the five suffered life-threatening injuries.
This story has been corrected to correct racial descriptions of the men in custody.
The shooting occurred on Monday after a group of protesters tried to confront three white masked men who showed up at the scene of the demonstration. The service also included a slideshow of pictures of Clark as he grew up.
Minneapolis police identified the suspects as 23-year-old Allen Scarsella, 27-year-old Joseph Backman, 21-year-old Nathan Gustavsson and 26-year-old Daniel Macey.
Some protesters criticized the police response time and said officers arrived in full riot gear.
Hundreds of people attended the funeral for 24-year-old Jamar Clark, who was shot and killed in an encounter with police last week. Police later arrived and one officer started Macing the crowd, witnesses said.
“Jamar, your life did and does have objective”. Attempts to reach relatives on Wednesday were unsuccessful.
Police haven’t released a possible motive for the shootings of the protesters, but the shootings followed several racially disparaging comments about the protests that were posted on social media in recent days. The protests in Chicago Tuesday night were nonviolent, but they were most certainly not calm.
Expressing concern for the safety of the protesters outside the precinct, Jamar Clark’s brother, Eddie Sutton, urged an end to the encampment.
At Jamar Clark’s Funeral, some call for an end to the protests while others refuse to stand down until justice is served.
Steven Belton, interim president of the Minneapolis Urban League, echoed those sentiments, saying protesters had achieved most of what they wanted. People are continuing to get shot down by police in the streets. They say they will not leave until they see justice, and they are demanding that authorities release video of the shooting.

At the visitation, leaflets shared details about Clark, who was the youngest of 10 children and liked to swim, fish, listen to music and take trips to Charlotte, N.C. Both are open to the public. But some people who said they saw the shooting said Clark was handcuffed. The agency, which is conducting a state investigation, said releasing the footage now would taint its probe.
