Four remaining Republican candidates duke it out in Detroit debate

Sen. Ted Cuz warned the Republican Party establishment Friday against trying to stop front-runner Donald Trump with a brokered convention, instead urging the party to get behind his campaign as the last hope to legitimately derail the billionaire businessman’s march to the nomination.

The two-hour forum at Detroit’s historic Fox Theatre starts at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

“Marco Rubio is trailing in Florida by 17 points”.

And that was only the beginning.

Trump then noted that Rubio had mocked his hands as small, widely viewed as an insult about Trump’s sexual prowess, and, holding his hands up to the audience, he declared, “I guarantee you, there’s no problem” in that area.

Rubio is desperately fighting to win back support after only taking Minnesota on Super Tuesday.

Trump was assailed on his positions on immigration, pressed by both the moderators and his rivals in the wake of a Buzzfeed report that he had told the New York Times in an off the record conversation he was willing to moderate some of his hard-line positions. “You have to be flexible, because you learn”.

Imagine if your much-respected but slightly annoying older sibling (the US) came home with a fantastically unsuitable date (Trump).

The debate is airing on Fox News, which means Megyn Kelly will be moderating.

“Think of Donald Trump’s personal qualities, the bullying, the greed, the showing off, the misogyny, the absurd third grade theatrics”, said Mr Romney. Ted Cruz, 110 for Florida Sen. “I hate his total lack of understanding of complex issues that impact Americans”, Clinton, 68, said in her email on Thursday.

“He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president”, his speech reads. He called her everything from “biased” to “overrated”, and used the word “bimbo” in other tweets.

But every once in awhile, something happens that makes you pause, step back and realize just how insane this ride is we’re on.

Later, asked if he thought Trump was naive about Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Kasich responded, “I’m not biting”. Notably, he’s stayed away from a confrontation with the network on the eve of this debate.

Last week Cruz trained his fire on Trump.

Because he won’t be on the stage.

By the way, Ben Carson dropped out of the race today.
