Four Vikings named to NFL Pro Bowl

The NFL announced the players participating in the January 29 All-Star game on Tuesday night and four Baltimore Ravens will represent the AFC. Despite missing the last two games, Smith ranks in the top seven among free safeties in tackles, sacks, and tackles for loss. He has started in all 105 games he’s played in since then, but he has not made the Pro Bowl since he was selected as a rookie in 2010. David could make it for the second straight year while Grimes has gone after each of the last three seasons and four times overall. He has three interceptions including one he returned 46 yards for a touchdown that was a key play in a Broncos’ win against Indianapolis. Those players are quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott, center Travis Frederick, guard Zack Martin and tackle Tyron Smith. Also, the two teams playing in the Super Bowl will obviously not have representatives from their teams playing in a meaningless game a week earlier.

The game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

It’s the first time the Redskins have had two offensive linemen named to the Pro Bowl since 1991, when Jim Lachey and Mark Schlereth were Pro Bowl selections.

Despite having a 12-2 record, the Cowboys didn’t have the most players nominated to the Pro Bowl.

Alexander’s selection was not a complete surprise given the fact that he’s tied for third in the National Football League with 11.5 sacks, but it certainly is a great story.

The Broncos’ Pro Bowl trio, all drafted or signed by general manager John Elway, have a combined 11 Pro Bowls selections since joining the team.

Darius Slay wanted to go to the Pro Bowl previous year.

“It’s an honor and blessing to be voted into the Pro Bowl by our great fans, coaches and peers in the league”, Mosley said. Freeman is on the team for the second consecutive season. Alexander is also tied for fifth in passes defended (five), while his three forced fumbles are tied for fourth in the NFL. Both of them are players who have been there before. Thus far this season, Roethlisberger has 3,540 passing yards on 304 completed passes.
