Therefore he’s been making some publicity rounds to talk about the future of Star Trek.

Paramount Pictures has announced a fourth “Star Trek” film with Chris Hemsworth returning to the rebooted franchise. I guess they’re banking on Beyond to be a nerd-boosted box office success, even though the studio isn’t showing it to most critics, including the Times’ Steve Persall.
We’re still a few days from seeing Star Trek Beyond premiere at San Diego Comic-Con, followed by hitting theaters everywhere late next week (or a bit earlier if you head to the Star Trek marathon at AMC Theatres).
The studio didn’t say much else about the movie, including what happens to the character of Pavel Chekov, who was played by Anton Yelchin and was killed earlier this year in a freak accident. He had only recently been cast in the 2009 movie Thor when he appeared in the opening scenes of Star Trek, but times have changed.
JD Payne and Patrick McKay will write the script while JJ Abrams and Lindsey Weber will produce through Bad Robot. George Kirk will somehow return in the new film.
Here’s the official synopsis for Star Trek 4… “It just felt really lovely and right, and tasteful and fitting for a man who is the face, really, of Star Trek – probably more than Kirk”, Pegg added.
Justin Lin directed the movie, based on a script by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung.
“‘Star Trek’ is one of the most iconic shows in television history and we’re thrilled to partner with CBS to bring the beloved series to Trekkies around the world”, Sean Carey, VP of global television at Netflix, said.
“We all spent so much time together last summer because we were so far away from home”.

Chris Pine, who stars as Captain Kirk, told the Associated Press that Bezos caused a stir when he arrived on set with his entourage, which Pine said included nine bodyguards and three limousines. But now it looks as though George Kirk is back – but what that means remains to be seen.
