Fourth suspect arrested in Black Lives Matter shootings
A spokesman for the Hennepin County Attorney said that office has until 4 pm local time to make a decision on filing charges and it expected to make an announcement at that time. Protesters are calling for the release of video of Clark’s shooting, which police said happened after Clark struggled with officers.

Police have arrested four men ages 27, 26, 23 and 21 on suspicion of shooting five protesters after some tried to get the men to leave the site late Monday night.
A fourth man was taken into custody on Tuesday, but released after authorities said they could not confirm his presence at the protest Monday night. Police arrested and later released a 32-year-old man from Minneapolis, who they determined was not at the shooting scene. About a dozen protesters attempted to herd the group away from the area, said Noor, and the gunman “opened fire on about six protesters”, hitting five of them about a block away from the precinct station.
The Black Lives Matter movement has transformed the national debate on police racism, mass incarceration, and widening racial inequalities in wealth, education, health, housing, and nearly every other measure. Officer LEVIN says that he has person knowledge that Scarsella owns a. 45 caliber weapon.
The Minneapolis Black Lives Matter chapter posted a 90-second video on its Facebook page on Friday of two masked men apparently on their way to the Black Lives Matter protest encampment in the downtown area.
Authorities are weighing whether to treat Monday’s shooting as a hate crime, according to sources familiar with the investigation. After community members on livestream started questioning them they left without incident, then we later found a video of them en route to the protest brandishing a pistol and making comments including “stay white” and justifying the killing of Jamar Clark. It has come to our attention that members of this group plan on returning tonight to our candlelight vigil at 4:30, some may come armed. In brief remarks outside the church where Clark’s was being held, as mourners streamed past, she said another rally was planned for Wednesday afternoon.
After the funeral service, a procession brought Clark’s body to the protesters, where improvised barricades of firewood were moved aside to let them through. “We asked them to remove their masks, asked who they were, invited them to come and protest with us peacefully once they did that”.
Protesters have constantly occupied the 4th Precinct since soon after the shooting. “Additional resources were called in and are actively investigating the shootings, interviewing a multitude of witnesses”. Questions have been raised about whether Clark was handcuffed when he was shot, which police have denied.
Mark Dayton said on Saturday that he had asked Clark’s family and representatives of the Black Lives Matter group protesting his death to meet with the federal government lawyers.
Police said little else about the arrests. Some who say they saw the shooting allege Clark was handcuffed when he was shot, but police have disputed that.

Protesters also have accepted warm clothing as many have lived in tents near the police station since the occupation began. The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said it has video from the ambulance, a mobile police camera and other sources, but none of it shows the event in its entirety. Kroll’s unapologetic racism and verbal attacks on protesters undoubtedly helped whip up the racist online frenzy against Black Lives Matter this past week.
