NEW YORK (AP) — The 16.9 million people who saw Fox News Channel’s coverage of the Republican presidential debate on Thursday has made it the fourth most-watched debate in a primary season ever.

Many wondered if businessman Donald Trump would participate in the Fox News-sponsored event after he skipped the last one the network hosted. But as they engaged in shouting matches and a mud fight in Thursday’s GOP debate over shouts and boos from audience members, Kasich chose to speak simply and forcefully during his few moments about his experience and his appeal to moderates.

Early on, as Rubio pressed Trump for more policy details, the two gave each other nicknames.

“If our self-indulgent Republican party establishment had really wanted to prevent a takeover of the GOP, they should not have gorged on political power while they failed to do anything to prevent the decline of the country”.

At Thursday’s debate, Trump’s rivals assailed him for shifting positions on the issues, but said in the end they would reluctantly support him if he were their party’s nominee. But I’ve never seen a successful person who wasn’t flexible, who didn’t have a certain degree of flexibility.

Overall, the delegate race is Trump 325, Cruz 237, Rubio 117, Kasich 27. Kelly and her allies say she was just doing her job as a journalist. You asked for additional money for the course.

“You say that medicare could save $300 billion a year negotiating lower drug prices”.

At this point Marco Rubio jumped in to provide more context on the university’s questionable practices.

“It was for business”, Trump responded. Though Trump interrupted a second time, Kelly kept going.

Trump replied that it was nice to be with her and that “you’re looking well”.

Chris Wallace had a real-time fact check queued up when Trump asserted he’d cut $500 billion in spending – pointing out that his strategies, eliminating the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency (which Trump called the Department of Environmental Protection), would save just a fraction of that amount. Will Kasich, the only candidate on stage who did not win a Super Tuesday state, be able to eek in more talking time?

Donald Trump’s so-far inexorable advance toward the Republican presidential nomination has divided the party. “I do, however, understand that the United States is bound by laws and treaties and I will not order our military or other officials to violate those laws and will seek their advice on such matters”.

“I think some people were disappointed that I didn’t go into the debate”, Trump said of the January 28 debate in Des Moines, Iowa, only days before the Iowa caucuses.

The three “seemed hell-bent on taking out each other on a lot of fairly minor points”, he said, “rather than discussing issues that affect people’s lives”.

“What the court of appeals said”, Kelly continued. “I’m going to go to the convention, and I’m going to be the nominee”.
