Fox News Host Megyn Kelly Mocks GOP Debate Demands
Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly, a frequent target of GOP front-runner Donald Trump, took a shot at her colleagues in the media on Wednesday while defending one CNN reporter from the candidate’s ire.

Fox News host Megyn Kelly has recently spoken out in criticism of 2016 GOP presidential hopefuls for releasing a recent list of demands regarding future presidential debates. Cruz said he goes “on liberal shows” all the time but feels a conservative should moderate a primary debate.
In an effort to maintain that they are fair despite their political views, Kelly mentioned Tim Russert was a Liberal, but was a much respected journalist for his fair treatment on political issues.
“Why is it that we have Republican primary debates that are moderated by liberal Democrats”, Cruz asked, repeating the argument he made on Fox News’ “Hannity” moments following last week’s CNBC debate. “I don’t think that makes any sense”, he told Kelly.
“Let me challenge you on that”, Kelly offered.
“Can you imagine having to submit our graphics for approval to the candidates?” she asked. “Do you have any idea whether Bret Baier or Chris Wallace have voted in a Republican primary?” Kelly said adding that it would be impractical to undergo such process just to see which primary each journalist voted in.
The Republicans next debate is scheduled for November 10 and is sponsored by Fox Business and the Wall Street Journal.
Earlier this week, The Washington Post published an open letter from Republican lawyer and pro bono debate negotiator Ben Ginsberg that listed a series of demands that television networks would have to comply with during future debates.

Stirewalt noted that a few “candidates started peeling off” on signing the demand letter, “because they have different interests”. Following the publication of the letter, a number of Republican candidates have pledged not to sign it.
