Fox News Suspends Newt Gingrich’s Contract Over Donald Trump VP Talks

Officially, the answer is no. Fox News executive vice president Jay Wallace said the network and Gingrich decided it would be best to part ways because a lot of people think that Gingrich will be Donald Trump’s running mate.

We won’t have to wait much longer to learn who the Republicans’ vice presidential candidate will be – NBC News reports that Donald Trump will make his announcement on Friday – although hints abound for those who are eager to guess. Gingrich has been a political commentator for Fox News since last fall.

From encouraging violence at his rallies to launching daily ad hominem attacks against his perceived enemies, Trump has created his own 11th Commandment: Thou shalt speak ill of almost every fellow American.

We imagine that TV stations all around the country are going to be spending the next couple of weeks going berserk, mostly because of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions that are taking place over the coming weeks.

Trump told The New York Times he has “five candidates, plus two, two that are unknown to anybody”, and that a decision is likely this week.

Frankly, Gingrich seems like an obvious pick: As a longtime US representative, former speaker of the House, and former presidential candidate, he ticks the political boxes.

‘I’m not saying anything, and I’m not telling even Newt anything, ‘ Trump said, ‘but I can tell you in one form or another, Newt Gingrich is going to be involved with our government.

Gingrich agreed with Jones, who said that anyone who became emotional over videos of black men killed by police officers but not over news of police officers where were shot dead during Dallas protests, or vice versa.

“Donald Trump’s substance is finally starting to cut through some of the media clutter and Hillary Clinton’s shallowness is also starting to emerge”, Cain said.

Some have applauded the strategy behind adding Gingrich to the Trump ticket. Gingrich, who had joined the network in 1999 after leaving Congress, was previously suspended as a contributor in 2011 when he ran during the 2012 presidential election. “It’s a little like “Apprentice” – you see in a few days who the last one standing is”, Gingrich said. The move has fueled speculation that Gingrich might be The Donald’s VP pick.
