This photo provided by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment shows Christopher Lloyd, left, as Dr. Emmett Brown, and Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly in the 1985 film, “Back to the Future”. That might sound like an odd fit, but all net proceeds will be going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Now, they’re a reality.Nike has finally manufactured a real pair of self-lacing shoes.

“Almost 30 years ago, Nike was asked to collaborate on a movie that would feature scenes set in the futuristic world of 2015”, the brand said in a statement.

So, Transport Canada made a decision to mark “Back to the Future Day” by issuing an advisory on the official government website used to announce recalls and other safety alerts, warning people of a problem with the time-travelling vehicle.

Nike is testing the shoe across various sports in the hope of improving the potential performance of athletes.

It appears that Nike is trying to capitalize on the sale of these Air Mag II’s by also putting them up for auction.

Fox revealed he received a letter from the company reading: “As the first, most celebrated wearer of the Nike Air Mag we wanted you to be the first to receive a living pair”.

The fans say no matter the date, even when the future is in the past, these movies will remain popular.

Sasser described reactions visitors – new and returning – have to the DeLorean; “We are known as the train museum”. The shoes were auctioned on eBay, raising over $4.7 million (£3.1 million) for Fox’s foundation.
