Police have identified the airport bombers as brothers Khalid and Ibrahim El-Bakraoui. “They are conducting patrols, with identity checks and vehicle searches”, Frederic Roze from Haute Garonne prefecture, told the paper.

France had already stepped up security measures in the wake of Tuesday bomb attacks in Brussels that was claimed by the Daesh terrorist group. Local media reported that the third suspect, who is still at large, was Najim Laachraoui who was already being sought in connection with a series of bombings and shootings in Paris last November which killed 130 people. Two bombers blew themselves up at the Zaventem airport, killing at least 11 people and injuring over 90 others.
