France seeks healing final victory vs underachiever Portugal
Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo (C) is carried on a stretcher off the pitch by team medics after an injury following a clash with France’s forward Dimitri Payet (not pictured) during the Euro 2016 final. “I feel great. I’m fully fit and can be chosen to play”, Pepe said at a news conference on Saturday at the Stade de France.
“They have resources in midfield and attack to put Portugal under pressure”, the 1986 Argentina World Cup victor wrote.

“Let them carry on saying that Portugal won without deserving it”, he said. Midfielder William Carvalho is also set to make his return having served a one-match suspension.

“We have this opportunity to become European champions”.
“There is some uncertainty, it’s not science, and you may not win, but you have to do everything it takes to win and that is the state of mind we’re in”.
“We haven’t had a chance to work on tactics since the semi-final”.
Griezmann is a certainty to play, though his starting position is less clear. I’m a part of it, of course, because I’m the coach.
“The players are obviously competitors”. What matters now is the present and the future.
“He’s a really great player with athletic quality, particularly in the air”. Like Messi, he has never won a global or continental tournament with his country. A man to make them forget about strikes, unrest and the horrors of terrorism.
“They are very experienced and Didier Deschamps is a very experienced manager”. Their defensive triangle is solid. So, they have all the aces {presumably] and some might be thinking that just showing up at the Stade de France guarantees a victory.
