Francis Libiran is back on ‘America’s Next Top Model’

Fans of “America’s Next Top Model” were disappointed earlier last month when the show’s home network, the CW, chose to cancel it after the 22nd cycle for the series.

“America’s Next Top Model” showrunner and executive producer Ken Mok is the one leading the possibility of a cycle 23 reboot, along with the support of the show’s host and co-creator Tyra Banks.

In CW’s statement, the network paid tribute to the show’s success, which originally started on the UPN channel.

Apparently, “America’s Next Top Model” as a franchise is at least somewhat interested in achieving undead status.

The idea for another installment came after an outpouring of interest after the October announcement – particularly since the show does well in repeat performance on other networks including Oxygen, Bravo and VH1. “I truly believe it’s time”, Tyra wrote on Twitter, adding that she’s “SO proud” of everything the show has achieved both in the modeling industry and, you know, just as a lazy weekend reality TV marathon guilty pleasure. We’d love to see Netflix get more into the reality competition game, but we don’t think that this is the right show for their particular model of posting all of the episodes at once.
