Frank Ocean Drops New Track ‘Nikes’
Odd Future’s Frank Ocean is reportedly still gearing up to release a long-awaited Boys Don’t Cry solo album. The album is now available for streaming on Apple Music, and takes the form of a 45-minute black-and-white video of Ocean constructing a spiral staircase in a warehouse.

More is on the horizon.
The releases come almost three weeks after Ocean posted what appeared to be a livestream on his website, leading fans to believe his new album was close to dropping.
If you’re a Frank Ocean fan who has been anxiously anticipating his follow-up, there’s a lot to process here.
Credits for “Endless” reveal a bounty of hidden gems about Ocean’s vision, including recording locations (Abbey Road and Capitol Studios, amongst others) and appearances from Sampha, Arca and more. Ocean streamed the new album on his website rather than releasing the songs for people to listen to on their own, which was a bold move reminiscent of Beyonce’s Lemonade album drop.
But the expectation for new music heated up in recent weeks after Ocean’s brother posted a photo on Instagram with the title “Boys Don’t Cry”. According to the publication, Ocean’s new album is set to be released by Apple Music this weekend (20-21Aug16).
Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood is credited as a string orchestrator on “At Your Best (You Are Love)’ while James Blake is credited for the synth on ‘At Your Best”.
Ocean began a live stream on his website late Thursday night teasing the album.
If the above description sounds vague, it’s because that’s what you’ll find in Ocean’s Endless. The link is only available to subscribers of Apple’s music streaming service. “It’s about making sure the flawless aesthetic for the situation has been reached, to do that, takes constant tweaking, trial and error”, Ho wrote in a Reddit AMA on Tuesday. We’re not dreaming? FRANK IS BACK.
