The album comes shortly after Ocean released his new music video “Nikes” on Apple Music overnight (NZ time). It was initially believed to be called Boys Don’t Cry.

Frank Ocean has finally blessed us with Endless and word on the street is that Boys Don’t Cry is on the way.

Turns out if you want to follow Frank Ocean’s latest album release cycle all you have to do is be an insomniac.

Frank’s first full-length major label album since “channel ORANGE” in July 2012 was initially expected to be released in July 2015 but the release date was pushed back several times because Ocean wanted it to be flawless. Fans who visited the pop-up shops, which blared Ocean’s music over the Sonos speakers, were given a free copy of Boys Don’t Cry, which contained a CD copy of Blonde within. Among other things, the magazine handed out to fans featured an alternate running order for the new album.

The release will mark the second album from Ocean since 2012’s “Channel Orange”, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 to widespread critical acclaim. The album features 17 tracks with some of the biggest names in music like Pharrell, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rick Rubin, and many more coming on board as collaborators. The interview with Lil B was teased in May 2015, and Lil B recently discussed working with Frank.

And with Endless, Ocean has reminded everyone why the long wait for his album has been so excruciating.

Ocean has a few collaborations on the album, including with R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and British artist James Blake.
