Frank Ocean Releases Long-Awaited ‘Blonde’ Album With Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar Collaborations
Our long national nightmare is finally over: Frank Ocean is actually, for real (probably) in the process of dropping the follow-up album to his 2012 tour de force, Channel Orange.

Fans who were able to get into the pop ups were able to get a copy of the Boys Don’t Cry book for free. He has been teasing listeners about the release of his second album since past year. In addition, Ocean had announced a July 2015 date last April, so there was plenty of reason to assume the album wouldn’t surface as promised.
The anticipated album Frank Ocean promised music-starved fans is finally here.
There is also some ambiguity about the album’s title.
The teasing rapper from New Orleans dropped a 17-track album, titled “Blond”, late Saturday instead of the false flag “Boys Don’t Cry” album linked to an earlier August release. Copies of the album come accompanied by a visual zine dubbed, Boys Don’t Cry.

We can now add Frank Ocean’s to the list of pop releases surrounded by misinformation and controlled by someone disinterested in getting with the program. The insane list of contributors includes André 3000, Beyoncé, David Bowie, Brian Eno, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Jamie xx, Elliot Smith [sic], Rostam Batmanglij, Pharrell Williams, Rick Rubin, Tyler the Creator and more. “Which is basically every one of y’all”, Ocean wrote on his official Tumblr blog.
His first single, “Nikes” is a visual smorgasbord paying homage to Trayvon Martin, whom Ocean sings, “looks like me”.

Frank’s first full-length major label album since “channel ORANGE” in July 2012 was initially expected to be released in July 2015 but the release date was pushed back several times because Ocean wanted it to be flawless.
