Frank Ocean releases second album
Media reports say the 45-minute “visual album” is only available to subscribers of Apple’s music streaming service, which quickly drew comparisons to Beyonce’s recent video album “Lemonade”.

Frank Ocean has been toying with fans, keeping plans for his Boys Don’t Cry album infuriatingly vague.
The mysterious musician has kept fans waiting for a follow-up to his Grammy-winning 2012 debut album Channel Orange, but listeners no longer have to cool their heels for his new songs. However, Rolling Stone reported on Thursday night that the artist has scrapped the name in favor of a new title. Francisco Soriano, who directed the “Lost” video, is credited as the director of photography for this project, which depicts Ocean in a warehouse building a staircase.
Frank Ocean has mastered the art of teasing.
There’s been a ton of hype surrounding Frank Ocean’s new album, including a website created to alert you the moment of the drop.
Early this morning, a newsagent at 66 Charlotte Street became one of four pop-up shops worldwide to stock copies of the record and accompanying magazine Boys Don’t Cry. There’s also plenty of naked bodies (mostly women), including some angel pole dancers, and at one point Ocean sets himself on fire.
Upon the release, confusion about whether this was what Boys Don’t Cry was supposed to be or not made rounds around the internet.
The album, Blonde, has even more star power on it.

It is comprised of contributions from Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, James Blake, Jazmine Sullivan and the London Symphony Orchestra. Meanwhile, after the seemingly endless wait, it seems a flood of Ocean is upon us: An Apple spokesperson told Pitchfork to “keep an eye out this weekend for more Frank”.
